Tests reveal that these purifiers really kill germs that are able to pass through the air curtain but are not breathed in yet. This device cannot shield high levels of toxin though; even surgical masks will not give total protection because the viruses cling to the mask. This is the advantage of the portable purifier; it does not make it possible for these viruses to attach themselves to it.

These purifiers will mainly help people who suffer from allergies or those suffering from asthma. During certain times of the year, there is more dust and pollen moving around the air and the flu is also predominant at particular seasons. There have been a lot of testimonials regarding the good benefits of using air purifiers installed in places where they frequent, usually the home, office, and cars. Some have claimed that before purchasing a purifier, everybody in the household took turns having the flu.

Portable purifiers are lighter, cost less than the standard versions, and can run on batteries. They are very convenient to bring around and they give you peace of mind, in the fact that you have a bit of protection when entering harmful or dense environments.
